yup--the mr. clean car wash system. they have been advertising it for a while--speed channel and the like. wally dallenbach was going to drive a car in nascar this season with the mr. clean carwash system as the primary sponsor. the product looks interesting, if for nothing other than the filter that is built into the handle, as the filter will help control water spotting in hard water areas. filtering out cooties and the like.

Sounds to me like the same company that says you'll never have to wax/seal your car again. I'm going invent a product that after you apply it, you never have to wash your car ever again, It will stay clean no matter what weather you are in. If that works, I'm going to try inside the car, so I never have to clean my interior either. [|)]

Got one of these Mr. Clean auto kits from Wal Mart the other week, although it has been too cold round here to try it out (weekend is supposed to be nicer).

I got it so I can use it to wash my wifes 2004 Nissan Quest. That damn van is so big it's like washing a boat! By the time I get to rinsing off the back, the front has alread dries with streaks and spots. If this thing saves me some time on her van, AND I get brownie points for washing it, then it's OK with me!!

I tried mine this morning, it worked pretty good, you really have to rinse it well in the final step, but it seems to work, glass and paint spot free, except in a couple of places I rushed through. It was still pretty chilly to be washing here in MD.

How hard is the water in your area, and how well do you expect the filters to work and last? Here in Orange, CA our water is so hard I'm surprised it doesn't dent the car when I turn the hose on! Don't even think about washing a car in the sunshine 'cause it will dry and SPOT before you can blink. I think I'll pass on this thing.

Well we are are Baltimore city water, but it allways spots real bad, I have to use a "water blade" very quickly after I wash it to keep from spotting. The instructions say the filter is good for ten uses, but the "starter" is only good for three. They turn brown as you use it, when totally brown you aresupposed to change it. To me it is worth it, these cars are a pain to dry with all the curves ect. I have allready told my wife to pick up more soap and filters the next time she sees them.

Tom, if you use Gary's waffle weave towels to dry your PT it's easy and probably better for the finish than a water blade.
