Biddaddog,
Thanks, I have read about Gary's "Spray and Shine" and think this will work for the most part, once I find the clay.

Thanks for the help and if it doesn't work I will have to try this out.

Colby, sorry for the delay, for some reason after I keep telling people I'm booked up till next week, cars still seem to pop up at my shop. Ok, lets see, finding the clay bar is not an emergency, yes you should do it, but don't panic if you have to wait a while. I don't suggest using a sponge, a chenille, terry, of lambs mitt work better. Make sure you wet or pre soak the car before you start rubbing the finish. Most swirls occur during the washing or drying stage. NEVER USE MF TOWELS TO APPLY ANYTHING !!!! Think of them as what they are, absorbing clothes. You should be able to find foam or terri applicators anywhere, even Wal-Mart. It is a common item. My spray and shine can be used as a lubricant for the clay, or by itself to enhance the shine. Colby, you need to come to one of my clinics, you will learn alot and also have a blast. I would apply cleaner and sealant in out door light, so you can see what you are doing. On your next order I will throw in some pads for you, on me. Gary

Gary,
Im sorry i hadn't gotten to check this earlier. I usually don't go on while at home because it usually takes too long. At work I have DSL.

I rinsed, washed, dryied, then clayed, then washed again. Are those the correct steps. I thought I had forgotten the sealer so I went home. I guess it does matter I was in the garage doing this, because when I left work it was only light until I started to clay.

I forgot the applicator pads before I started, so I used a terri towel to apply the paint cleaner and mit for the sealer [:I]. I had to use something and I figured this was better than nothing.

I let stand for 10 minutes and then removed with a micro fiber towel.

I noticed the clay had many different colors in it when I was done and the clean soapy water I had started with was all murky. I figured that I had cleaned the paint of some stuff to see results like that.

The reflection of stuff in the paint before was good, but now you could read a book in the reflection and everything is very clear.

Should I apply additional coats of anything after the first?
Did I do anything wrong or miss that I didn't mention here.

I would love to go to one of your clinic but I would have to find cheap tickets at expendia.com, and a day off from work before attending. I live in FL. Is there anyother way I can attend one of your classes.

Thanks for you help thus far.
