You'll get answers to how to clean - I just want to recommend getting ceramic brake pads - NO DUST! I got Raybestos ceramic pads (PartsAmerica.Com) and love them. [|)]

If they did, I would be the one of the first to order them.

I just wash the rims like I do the rest of the car. I also put a coat of wax on them when I wax the rest of the car. My biggest problem is keeping the tire dressing off the wheels, it seems to suck the dust right off of the pads. After a couple of days of driving, I wipe off the tire dressing that's spun onto the wheels. Works pretty well.

For nasty brake dust, use a small nylon detail brush with some all purpose cleaner (use solvent base if that doesn't work well) then wash and seal them. Gary

It is a pain but I wash the wheels about three or four times a week and the brake dust never has a chance to build up. Doesn't take long to just do the wheels, my only criteria is that it has to be at least 33 degrees.

I use a solution of Simple Green and water (50/50) in a spray bottle. I have an old soft bristle paint brush that I use to clean with and get all the nooks and crannies. I have used this method for years and it keeps my wheels looking good. Of course I do it about every weekend so it never really gets too bad. (oh, chrome wheels)
