Default When can I polish/wax after flame job?

I guess I'm hoping/expecting Gary to answer this one.

I had the Cruiser flamed and I am wondering when I can throw some sealant on her.

Thanks!

I'm not Gary but I would suggest you ask the painter how long to wait before waxing or applying a sealant.

I'm not sure, but I think it would be the same as my mirrors.
The guy said, don't apply wax for at least 30 days. Some one
on here will know for sure.
Arthur, did you get rid of your white line problem?

Sci Fi is correct, the painter should tell you. Here is the reason, most paint shops have bake / curing rooms, however some don't. The high qaulity shops do , by heating up the paint while curing, it promotes and accelerates the process in getting the paint to bond together, (prime/base/clear) The standard time frame is 30 days, if you seal before then, you can get what they call "solvent pop" tiny air bubbles that occur in the surface, which is the air trying to evaperate. Once the paint is cured you can seal. Be safe and wait 4-6 weeks. Gary

The paint guy is coming to look at the lines on Saturday. He said I can polish after 30 days. So you were all right on.
Will keep you posted about the white lines. I'm guessing compound.

Thanks.
