At $95,000, you can order one too. Looks like my paint sealant program is starting to grow legs.

Well, if people trust you with a $95k car, I guess I'll try your stuff on mine.

They are supposed to handle beautifully, but if it were me, that rear wing would have to go, and not canary yellow.
Actually had a guy that worked with me that had a used one - looked very much the same except without that huge rear wing - he was single & living at home...

Now I'm totally envious. The Lotus Esprit has been one of my all time favorite cars since it came out in naturally aspirated 2.2L 4 cylinder form back around 1980. Later it was turbo'd (about 285HP from a 2.2L 4 back in the mid-late 80's, then a twin turbo V-8 was added in the mid 90's. Very sad to see the end of the line has finally come for it though. Just a kick butt ride if you ask me - and I've go no problem with the fly yellow paint!

I don't want to darken your dreams, but with all the extocit cars I do, the Lotus has more defects than I would expect on a car that price. This one had the factory 3-m clear bra, poor workmanship. If it wewre my car, I'd have it re done. second, I saw several spots were the clear coat had runoff. Mindyou, some of these things most people would never notice, but when you spend 2 hours inches away from the finish, you see everything. Guess how much an average oil change costs for Ferarri, Lotus and Lamborghini (using regular oil) this will floor you. one more reason why I'll keep my Cruiser thank you.

Yeah, I know......but there's just something about that Lotus, and Lotus cars in general, that really do it for me. As for the price of an oil change, well I suppose if you can afford $95K for the Lotus, or $150-$250K for a Ferrari, you probably don't really care what an oil change costs!

Dang, talk about cost of ownership! I agree, that's seriously nutty, but like I said - if you're shelling out 100-200Large for a car, what's $300 every few months? I mean, did you ever stop to consider the insurance premiums on these cars? A buddy of mine has a 911 Carrera and his insurance is $5000/yr and that's with the thing listed as a weekend toy only. He's 49 years old with a perfect driving record too. I guess it's all relative ----- except non of my relatives drive $100K+ cars!
