Default COOL PICS, 1955 GRAND VIC

I got to drive this 1955 Ford Fairline, Grand Victoria today to my shop. (owner must trust me) This is the first year power windows were available. Which is what makes this car rare, most were made in manual. The brakes on this car were crazy. I asked the owner, he says that's normal for manual brakes. I pushed that pedal to the floor and prayed it would stop. I had a blast doing the chrome on this baby, shines like no tomorrow. Used my super chrome sealer. Goes to a car show this weekend.

Very nice! I myself am looking for a 1953. I was given a picture from my mother-in-law of my wife at age 2 next to their 1953. Fast forward a few years now. In my early married years I was at a car show with my wife and 2 year old daughter. There was a 1953 there. Took a picture with my daughter next to the car and later on held it next to the one my mother-in-law gave me and they looked like the same little 2 year old. I was amazed. If it wasn't for one picture being black & white with the other being in color, the car and the kid were spliting images.

uh, gary, isn't that a Crown Victoria? i don't believe Ford made a grand victoria.
in any case, old technology brakes put in excitement in whoa!!
i have a 61 Corvette---great brakes for a 61---a lot of technology has improved the brakes since then.
