Ok, this is a newbie question, but here goes.
How do I properly clean the chromed wheels on my GT? Are the wheels clearcoated or are they just chrome plated? The last thing I want to do is damage the finish, but I'm not sure what the finish really is, or what the right product would be. |

Good News: Chrysler did not try to cover up a problem with clearcoat!
Bad News: Your chrome wheels are prone to pitting and chrome flaking off. SOLUTIONS: You should use a polishing compound to pollish them. Getting NON-FERROUS brake pads will help keep contaminants off the rims. When it becomes obvious that the flaking and pitting is too much you have a choice: a) Spring for new wheels that suit your tase long term. b) Go to war with your dealership, armed with the technical bulletin covering the crappy thin chrome job on this set of wheels.[8)] |

Kirby,
What is the TSB number? I need to bear arms for my war! Thanks, Scott

The best product I have found success with is my chrome wheel polish/sealant. Not on my web site, but you can write it in when you order. Mark "Chrome sealant" add $8 Gary

Gary, is there other products besides the chrome sealant that you offer that aren't on your order form? I'm getting ready to place another order with you, and just thought I'd check. Thanks.

Bob, If you have a need for something I don't carry I will get it for you. Example, clay is something I have gotten for people that can't find it. I also have some great tar/brake dust remover. send me e mail on my web site and I'll give you instructions. Gary
