Damn!!!!!!!!!!
Oh well, they don't last forever. What do you like for "lubricant" Gary? I will use detailing spray in kit, but if I get the next bar from you......
Thanks,
Tom

Cal Cruzer,

I have only used Clay Magic. No problems here. I bought Clay Magic because it has 50% more clay and is 33% cheaper than Mother's clay kit.

My guess is that no matter which bar you used, you would have gotten the same unfortunate results due to something that was on the car's surface, folding, and re-use.

My opinion,

Scott

Car surface just washed, folded bar to get a new surface after doing half of the hood, and it was a brand new bar. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Won't trust them again.

My opinion.

You have to be VERY careful using clay, I flood the area being clayed with quick detailer and keep dipping the clay in a clean bucket of soapy water. So far no problems.

I got that. I have been claying my cars for years. Never a problem with Mother's.

The one time I used claybar, the clay kind of broke down about 2/3 through the project. The packageing indicated that a bar would be good for three cars. By the end of the job, I just had a pile of wet pieces that would barely hold together. I threw it away. Maybe I should have kept it to see how it would be when it dried out. I was thinking I might have used too much lube. I didn't use a bucket of soapy water but I did use over half the bottle of clay lube. I wanted to make sure I used plenty of lube, so I more than just misted the surface. The brand was Pinnacle PolyClay and Pinnacle Clay Lube. Any thoughts?
