Default Cleaning Windows

Gary,

What do you use to clean the windshield and all the windows in your PT? Also, what is good to get bug guts off as well?

using a 32oz spray bottle put 2-4oz of De-natured Alcohol in it, fill with distilled water. I also seal my glass with a product called Ultimate Chrome & glass sealer. for bugs, try a plastic net sponge with lots of lubricant/ soap suds. e mail me for ordering on the glass sealer. Gary

It does really work. I've never had my glass sparkle like this before. My wife use to call me the "streak" but it was one way of getting out of washing windows.

I use Stoner's Invisible Glass. easy to use foam spray, safe for plastic too!
for bugs i use a sponge with mesh covering, just like the squeegee at the gas station.

and when you clean the windshield go up-and-down on outside, side-to-side on inside (or visa versa). That way if it DOES streak, you can tell which is streaked.

I like Eagle One 20/20. Good point about doing the inside a differant direction than the outside. Make sure you clean them in the shade or garage. For bugs EO 20/20 cuts right through them. You can also add a NON cleaner wax to the windshield to help bead water and protect from bugs. It cleans up a lot easier.

I use a plastic net sponge and full strength simple green. Works great. This will leave a soapy haze after you are finished, you must wash the car. works great on windows, trim, grill and back of mirrors. Gook luck!![8)]

Beware of using simple in FULL strength. In that form it can take off your clear coat. I would not encourage anyone using that procedure. Plenty of other safe options. Gary

Where would I find de-natured alchohol? I have found rubbing and isoprypol in different percentages, but nothing labeled "de-natured".
