I was reading a post on another forum that I thought was interesting enough to post here. It seems that some Dream Cruiser owners are noticing that the color on the Oranage Dream Cruiser is starting to fade or wear out after only 6 months. Todays leather in automobiles is dyed to color match the interior. If you let the leather dry out, the dye becomes subjected to what we call "bleeding" in the business. To avoid this problem I constantly tell people to condition their seats 3-4 times a year. By keeping the oils in the leather active the color won't bleed. Once you let the leather dry out, not only will it fade, but it can crack and split. The variables are humidity/sun/heat and cold. These changes will cause the leather to undergo stress if not taken care of. I blame the dealers for not passing on or educating owners about proper care. Visit my web site for more tips. Gary

![]() Not sure how this pic will turn out, but I had an M3 BMW visit today, and the seats were re -dyed according to the owner. He said the color had faded in a short year. The problem with after market blending if you can see in this pic, the seats attrack all kinds of foreign contaminants, using the leather cleaner and conditioner helps, unless the owner gets on a regular maintainence schedule these seats will look just as bad in a month or so. ![]()
