No mater how hard I work at drying my car before waxing, little dribbles of water alway come out from around joints while waxing, especialy around the headlights and grille. This water winds up in the mix with my wax. I am currently using Meguiar's Gold Carnouba Wax.
Should I be concerned about this water? If so, is there a fool proof way of stopping it? BTW, I did my first clay-bar job over the weekend and just had to show the wife and curious neighbor the plastic bag test... Amazing. Thanks, Joe |

My solution for removing the water that likes to hide in all those hard to reach places - I take my shop vac around the edges of the head & tail lights, the trim below the windows, my Stull beltline kit, lugnut holes in my wheels, around the edge of the door sills, under the door spears, and between the slats in the grille. When I'm done with that I put the brush attachment on and vacuum the inside of the car.
Others have used a leaf blower to blast the water out, but the water in my area is so hard that it instantly leaves real nasty spots when I tried it. |

Mike, thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I don't own a shop vac. I do have a little portably compressor that plugs in to the cig. lighter (for filling tires, etc). Maybe that can blow the water out.
If the water doesn't cause a problem though, I'd rather avoid the hastle. Joe Quote:

Using an electric leaf blower and air compressor is the best way to remove water from behind trim, mirrors, etc. sorry to hear you are still using Gold Class. (lol) I coulnd't resist that one. The stuff has has been around since the stone age. Time to move up. Gary

I second what turbomangt said. I use a leaf blower to dry the car when in a hurry, but I also use a shop fan on high setting and let it sit facing the PT for about an hour. Either way the the hidden water puddles will evap.
