Default How to clean carpet

If you have dirty carpet, (like in this pic) the only effective way to clean it is with an extractor. WARNING! Don't go to a detail shop that uses a shop vac to clean carpet. Shop vacs are NOT strong enough to suck up the chemicals used to clean carpet, the result is you will have strong surfactants imbedded in the carpet which will loosen the glue and give mold a prime area to ferment. Here is a tip, if you rent steam machines on occassion to clean your carpet in the home, use the stair attachment in your car, that is an extractor. These machines will suck up chemicals used to clean carpet effectively without leaving behind solution in the fibers.
