Just came back from a car show today and you must hear this. I was walking around and spotted a black 1966 Corvette. The swirl marks were so obvious that I heard people talking about it under their breath. Pretty sad when you have a classic car like that and all people see are swirls. I found the owner and politly told him I could get them out for him. He said he would call me, if he does, I will post before and after pics. I aksed him how it happened, he said he used a high speed buffer on it himself thinking he would get a great shine, and a shine he has, but he wasn't prepared for the swirls. Moral of the story, don't use a buffer unless you know how it works.

[:I] My neighbor has a cheap buffer he got at Wally World. He saw me wax my Cruiser one day, asked me if I wanted to borrow it. NOOOOOO thanks said I , look close at my finish, no swirls, lets go look at yours. Swirls galore. How can sombody get rid of or diminish swirls? He has a 2002 (?) red Camaro.

Personally, I would expect to see buffer marks/burns and/or holograms from a 1st time rotary user. Most likely used a wool pad. Tuxedo Black should be a single stage paint, but I would check the paint thickness 1st before using a rotary or cylo on it to remove the swirls.
