Default HELP!...nasty scratch

I have a semi-erratic line about 8 inches long on the passenger door just below the handle. It seems to have found its way down to the sheetmetal and is surprisingly wide. Can this be filled in, primed and painted? Any elaboration here would be great.

For anyone in Chicagoland:

If this is possible I would need a pro to work on it. Any recommendations for a body shop or individual that could perform the labor? My Cruiser sleeps in an open parking lot next door, so this would be difficult to do myself. [:I] Thanks.

Dave

Thanks for the welcome Hooligan. I've been lurking for quite awhile in some of the other forums. Hadn't realized that Gary is da man when it comes to this sort of thing until I came into the detail shop here. Big bonus that he happens to be in my neck of the woods. BTW Gary, I sent you an e-mail. Thanks guys.
