Would using one of those home steam cleaners that are seen on TV to clean bathrooms and such, be to harmfull to use on chrome wheels, brake calipers and in the engine bay? Say to cleanup the intake manifold on the GT?
Thanks, KB |

That depends on what chemicals you put in the machine. If its just hot water, then no it won't hurt. Never heard of steam cleaning wheels, I usually use alkaline cleaners with a power washer. Let me know it you try it, generally you need some kind of surfactant (cleaner) to emulsify (breakdown) the foreign contaminents. Same thing with the engine, hot water won't break down any grease, oil, in the bay area. Gary
