Default Grease Spots?

I washed my Cruiser on Sunday, clayed it, washed again, used meguiar's cleaner wax, polish, and then gold class sealant wax. I gave the car a good wiping off after each layer, and went over it once again after I was completely finished. Today, I noticed that there are what seems to be grease spots all over... almost like somebody took cooking oil on their hands and smeared the car. It is very unattractive, but there is a light coat of dust and pollen and I don't want to scratch the finish. Any suggestions?

When you said grease spots I was imagioning engine type of grease. But now from reading this it sounds like oily spots from the products you are using. (cough) Even though I sell my own line, I still use SOME of the meguiars line for certain situations. mnay times using multiple products you may find they don't interact well together. Depending on the active ingrediants some work, some don't. I know for a fact some Meguiars cleaners and compounds won't work with some Ardex or Car-Brite products. That's one reason why I came up with items that do work well together. what polish were you using? you did not say in your post. Don't know if they improved GOld Class but the last time I used it (5 years ago) it was below my standards. YOu may have to start over if the oil remains after your next wash. Then upgrade the products you are using. Try the bath first, easiest first step. Gary

Thanks Gary. I used all Meguiars products, their cleaner wax, their polish, and their gold class. It's sort of a three stepper they sell, didn't buy as a package, but they're numbered. What about maybe some quick detail spray, or should I just give it a good old wash?

I am, I use all of your tips, and am working up the nerve to step away from Meguiars.
