Default 1300 grit finish

Too bad pics won't do this topic justice. Today I got in a 2000 Pathfinder and has been sitting under a sap tree for the last 4 years, and was never washed. YOu know you are in trouble when the layer of contaminants is thicker than the paint. When I put my hand on the finish it felt like 1300 sandpaper. I pre-soaked the car with my trusty garden sprayer filled with my pre-cleaner, similar to all purpose cleaner. after letting it soak I hit it with 2400 PSI. I felt it again, still heavy duty build up of sap. Even the windows had it. Next I added some of my pre-soak to my regular car wash soap, to kick it up a notch. washed it, rinsed, better, put it was time to get the clay out. This is one situation you can really FEEL the clay doing its job. With QDS and soap I proceeded to clay the whole car, windows and all. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! after a rinse, all the sap residue was gone. Finish still needed more TLC. I worked my paint cleaner by hand to ensure the finish was clean. Next step was optional but I felt it was neeed. I added a layer of pure polish next, then followed with my paint sealant. It took me 4 hours just for the exterior, but the results were stunning. so much so the owner couldn't believe it was the same car. This proves miracles can happen. Gary
