Default Pics/serious paint correction

Here is a Ferrari Coupe I got in the other day that made me sick when I saw how neglected (and abused) the finish was. As you can see it had major hallow grams and swirls. I must say this was a challage even for me. Here is what I did.
Hand wash/clayed/solvent bath to remove tar throughout finish/Alkyline wash to remove surface contaminents. soap washed/rinsed and dried. ]
Perfect Auto Finish Ultimate deep paint cleaner my hand
Ardex swirl remover using a cyclo dual head buffer (yellow pad)
Meguiars hand polish applied with DAPC (tan pad)
Perfect Auto Finish paint sealant applied by hand.
Considering the previous condition of the car, results came out to my satisfaction. Total time involved just for exterior. 4 hours 35 minutes. I test drove the car afterwards, but thats a whole separate post in itself. In a nutshell, ITS A ROCKET !!!!!! GARY

I've heard of "drive it like you stole it", but "maintain it like you stole it" borders on sacrilege with a Ferrari! The owner should be relieved of his ownership of this vehicle immediately. I'm sure if Luca di Montezemelo (Ferrari Chairman) knew this was how one of his babies was being treated he'd repo the car personally. It should be permanently in the hands of someone who would truly appreciate it.....like you, Gary.....or me.

Mike, these repo's are done by age, and I'm well ahead of you, and a bit ahead of Gary!!
Gary, your winning me over! That is a MAGNIFICENT job!! Again, there is an event in Arizona in Jan or Feb and you must come out here to demo your ART! I'll let you use my GT (and/or Mike's!) as a subject. We can get most California, Nevada and Arizona PT's to come too. It's a write off as a business trip so bring the family!!
I won't ask until I do a search, but I'm concirned that my Inferno Red Clearcoat should have some clay and sealer.

John

Hey John, I've been using Gary's product line almost since day of owning my PT. I spoke with him on the phone (very nice guy) and have been hooked since the first coat of Ultimate Paint Sealer. I'm getting ready to clay my car for the second time - first time was back in January about a month after I got the car. Just amazing what that does! Come on by some time (if you remember where I live) and I'll show you what the process does to your finish.

Of course, I'm sure Gary would do an even better job, but he's a pro. I just use pro products!

I'm just concirned about the clear coat on the Inf. Red. I know Gary's stuff is good, and his PT is Inf Red CC so I think I just talked myself into taking his $35 special!!!! But, he must come west to get it!!

All of our cars have a clear coat, so you shouldn't be concerned about that.

Do I Grand Prix???? As in Formula 1?? Big time...looking forward to tonights Japanese GP - the typhoon moved through without doing major damage, so qualifying should be on Speed at 7:30PM with the race at 10:00PM.

So Gary, what was the owners response?

So, John (JPMS GT), what is keeping you from coming over to the right side. I have an '04 GT (Arizona car) and have been using Gary's products from day one. In fact, I am getting ready to go out and do a complete "treatment" on the car. I ordered his products the day I bought the car...I had been reading about what he had been doing and how he had been doing it for about 2 months prior to purchasing my car and his "stuff". In fact, I need to be ordering some more real soon.

John, if you want some of Gary's product prior to making a purchase, I will give you some for at least one "treatment" on your car. You will have to purchase your own clay, though. I do not have any of that to share.

Hi Gang, went to Lake Geneva today with our club. We had 9 Cruisers come with us to drive in the nice fall colors. Hand lunch and had a great time. I just saw this post, $35 special? Don't remember that one. I have 2 deals working right now, 1, any order over $50 take 5 bucks off, plus buy 5 MF towels get the 6th free. If you have other questions e mail meon my web site. JPMS, all our cars have clear coat like Mike said, the inferno red has three stage paint, which doesn't mean anyting as far as detailing. Better get some protection on her so it doesn't look like that top pic. [?] Gary
