That's cause they don't know much about the cruiser. Let a few of us run against some of your friend's ricer cars and I'm sure their attitudes going to change from an insulting tone to a respective tone.

Nobody really commented on my car to say it was a piece of S%$#. I think I was swoller than most of the guys in my school, so I didn't catch much flak. I can't comment on the "huh" part, I've gotta 5 speed so whenever I need power, I just drop the hammer. Short ram intake and an exhaust will give you some good power improvements. Going full throttle will make the car kick down a gear and IT WILL make you go faster, give it a try. Turbo's are nice, but being able to say you smoked your friends in an N/A PT is a whole lot more rewarding. If your buddies start talking smack, just ask them to follow you to your closest straight piece of road and have a go at it. Taylor, I would say do what you want to do to your car, chrome it if you want chrome, and put graphics on it if you want them. Just don't get too carried away and give them another target to shoot at.

Ive had my experience with buying cheap, low quality stuff. Im not going that route anymore. As they realize that the car ive got has everything, and they all get their cars, their views on mine should change.

wow gary i thought it was just me or the installer used some type of clamp to holt the tint in plage while squeegeeing it. yeah mine were tinted to match the rear from the dealer and has been like that since day one. no problems ever (suprisingly).

Semi transparent tint is available at a good tint shop. You are looking at something in the 70%-50% range. the % is how much light comes through so the 70 will be lighter. it looks fantastic and i am having the G35 done this month with something of that variety.

My rear windows were factory tinted privacy glass. Suprisingly serves no UV protection. So I had the fronts tinted to match the rears. Problem was the tint came out darker then rears. I was told rears are at 22% and I had the front at 20%. So I had the rears done in a 50%. I also noticed the heat deference was about 3 degrees and the hot deference was a big deference. I would sit in the front and feel fine, then move to the back and feel the suns heat.

I find that my windows can be darker then most police cars in my area. Yet illegal I keep it that why for the heat reasons. If I ever got pulled over for my windows, my reason would be its a custom car and I don't want people looking in it. I find it hard to see only sometimes at night.

My front-side windows were tinted with 15% Onyx Grey when I added transparent-blue flames several months ago. Both of these after-market modifications are street-legal in Washington State and, it is my understanding, they are legal in other states.

One can easily see through "15% tinting" yet it still gives you UV protection. This has worked well for me. Good luck.

I was also told my local installer has a clear film that is 99% UV proof but not tinted.

Theres a difference between tint and UV protection. Not all tint has a UV protection base. That is why my factory windows were so much hotter then my tinted ones.

Gary04Gt,
Do you know of any that would sell tribal designs graphics like that?

Sorry, no I don't. However, I'm sure someone (for the right amount of money) will do it for you.

I got mine "window flames" from: http://www.fastlanegrafiX.com
Think Bill may be able to do a custom order for you but he is usually very busy as this a "one man company". Good luck.

Thank you Gary

KingKole, try www.egraf-x.com. Or call them direct. (316) 641-3406, ask for Shawn. They do all types of graphics and vinyls, especially custom work. They did my dragons, and everyone loves them.
