[8)] M-I-O, now we know the real reason Gary gets the good gas mileage, he's bragged about.

The real reason is that superb wind splitting, drag reducing, slippery Detailing Job he's done !!! [^]

My humble opinion is that Meguiars NXT is the absolute best. Easiest to use, glossiest most reflective shine ever. Slickest surface of any of the prolly 25 products i've tried. Don't know about durability as I usually wax the pt every 2-3 weeks so it's not an issue. I used it on my corvette and I love it on the pt. Check this out <autopia.org>

First off welcome to forum.I use to use Meguiar products. In fact
I tried the NXT on my wifes Cruiser. They have good products, but for me I'm going to redo her Cruiser with Gary's cleaner and sealant.
I'm just happier with them.Just my 2 cents

There's an old saying, "Find a wax/sealant you like and stick with it".

There are many excellent products on the market, some look better on dark cars while others make light colored cars pop out. It all comes down to detailing experience and your paint prep work. Too often I read about the final step (waxing) and nothing about the process of extracting the best possible shine from your paint. Even under the best circumstances, I yet to find a detailer or car buff that is completely satisfied and constant experimentation to achieve that elusive perfect finish continues to go on.

Read the following thread and look at the pictures:
http://www.autopia.org/forums/showth...threadid=42404
Or just look through the members gallaries and see the variety of products used on different cars:
http://autopia.org/gallery/showgalle...at=500&thumb=1
Or look at some of Scottwax photos with plenty of before and after shots and many different products used:
http://www.photohost.org/gallery/sho...00&ppuser=1099

Even this 96 Impala SS that I did, it's dark green-gray btw not black, could be even better, and it took most of the day to remove all the scratches and swirl marks and level the paint to get that mirror look using a variety of abrasives, polishing pads, and polishing machines. The wax/sealant is only a protective coating and adds more depth and/or reflection, and/or the wet look. If you notice the reflection off the truck almost matches the reflection off the glass.:

OK, here's a couple of pix of my new toy, an Emerald Mica 1999 Mazda Miata. It's been given the full treatment using only products from PerfectAutoFinish.com

Yeah Gary...I have to tell you that I am always impressed every time I see that pic of your right front corner, no matter how often I see it. The shine on everything - paint, chrome, rubber - is just awesome. You do an amazing job on that beautiful car of yours!
Thanks, Mike. I have been pleased with the results even if my car hasn't yet passed the "plastic bag test". [B)] I have never used "clay" on it because my painted flames and pin-striping are not clear-coated. Since I don't consider it a "true show car" those judges will never get near it let alone touch it with a plastic bag.

BTW, great PICs. [8D] That Emerald Mica 1999 Mazda Miata of yours is very sharp and the finish using Perfect Auto Finish products is outstanding. [^] Guess that you must have a very difficult time deciding which of the two great rides--"S1" turbo PT or Miata "ragtop"--you want to take out for a cruise on a sunny weekend. Life can be "really rough" when one has to make those hard decisions. Good luck. [8] [?]

[u]Right</u>!!! [] I'm sure glad that you are up to this "most difficult" task. Looks like your preowned 1999 Mazda Miata is in mint condition--from the photos it looks brand new! [|)] [^] However, as much as I like the car it has one major problem in my book...[B)]...I CAN'T FIT IN IT because it doesn't like us tall guys. [:0] [?]
