Default Touchup Paint for Wheels

Need some help from you old hands, please, on a subject I don't know that I've ever seen in the forum before.

My 2004 came with the 16-inch Silver Painted Aluminum Wheels, which now have a few "dings" and small scrapes. I'd like to locate the best match in a touchup paint, but MOPAR tells me they don't make a touchup paint for wheels.

Anybody out there been through this already and have some idea what
paint might work best for this situation and purpose? Thanks!

pacaz, I don't have those type wheels on my PT but I've used Rust-Oleum Aluminum paint for touching up aluminum wheel covers on other cars. Seems to work real well. I just buy a small can and use a small brush. It's oil-based, so it wears well once it's on.

I'm not sure about this but I think the wheels may be powder coat finished. Small blemishes may be able to be touched up with paint. Just match the color and do it like you would for chips on the body.
At forty miles an hour, in the moonlight, with one eye shut, it should look good. It's worth a try, though.

Good luck with this one pacaz! I have a set of Mille Miglia EVO 5 wheels with a couple of minor blems in them and even the guys at a couple of wheel shops here in SoCal don't know of anybody making touch up paint for wheels.

I find it really bizarre because this has to be an incredibly common problem, yet apparently no one addresses it.

Get the code PS2. This is the silver body color. It is a good match...
