I'll bite my tongue and not say a thing about "Gold Grill" but those so called "Judges" shall not escape so easy.

What were they thinking? OK... a lot of effort must have been made in the winning car and they may be rewarding that but is that the right mindset? "He who has the most bolt-ons wins" regardless of what it looks like. Does sticking to a theme count for anything?

On one hand, you have a High Tech, Euro front end (as in race cars) with purple driving lights and on the other you have Old School sun visor and running boards (Did you ever see these on race cars?)

I guess I made comments about the car after all.[B)]

There were no "professional judges" for the show. The judges were the people who registered for the car show--all 338 of them--one vote for each car entered. While not all participants cast a vote, the votes that were made determined each car's place in their respective class. The winning 2001 PT Cruiser is a very beautiful car that has won a number of car shows in Western Washington the past few years.

My wife overheard some "Mopar guys" [}] talking when walking past the area where th PT Cruisers were on display. One made the comment: "I only vote for real cars." [B)] [:0] Guess that implies that we all need to sell our Cruisers and buy "Mopar muscle cars"?

look pretty cool...thx....
The flames are custom painted. IMHO, those are some of the most realistic flames I have ever seen. The guy that does the painting lives in Washington State and the [u]minimum cost</u> for painting them is 6K++++++!!! [:0] For comparison, my flames cost $800. [8D]

Also, not only does the car have gold-plating on the grille it has gold on some other exterior parts. It is my understanding that it has about 20K worth of gold in the engine bay! I have seen it so I know it's there. [8]
