My disclaimer; I have no idea (apart from topping up levels) what to do when the bonnet of my CRD is lifted!!! But.....looking on Youtube for videos on changing an air filter I see that on petrol models it's within my limited abilities, in fact it's on par with emptying the vacuum cleaner. I'm guessing it's a different world on the diesels?
Photos, links and advice on whether to go for it or leave well alone welcome. |

Living in the US I've never actually seen a Cruiser with the CRD engine, but from photos I've seen it appears that the air filter is in the same location and is changed the same way as on petrol engines. It's just a different shape. I say go for it - it's really easy.

If it looks like the picture below, it's the same instructions as the filter on a gas engine. Some clips on the side of the air box, then lift.
