I believe 800-1000 pounds is the limit.

Only a couple regular member here have access to the owners manual of a PT Cruiser with a 1.6 engine to be able to help you. If you can locate an owners manual for your european model your question should be listed there.

Teska may be able to help you?

You should be aware that there are diesel PT Cruisers as well PT's with 1.6 power plant with less HP then a NA 2.4. You may want to look at the member location and also the information supplied a bit more carefully?

My Fiat Panda (1,2) has 800 kg with brakes, PT must have more than that.

Lets see assume means what?

Maybe you should do some general information research on how to find the towing capacity of a vehicle and properly set it up for towing on the internet?

Just sent a PM to Teska, never the less, the official representative in Greece, sent me a document today, (which I haven't in my hands right now), but as they told me on the phone, the certify the capability of towing any trailer with max weight up to 1000 kg.
Hope that this is the first step to buy at last the much wanted caravan!
