Hello
I had my PT's air con recharged on Friday and it was good! Saturday it was fantastically cool. Sunday it wasn't quite so cool... Monday afternoon I roasted driving home! There must be a leak in the system. Has anybody used EZ Chill DIY air con recharge and leak fix? Or is there some other stuff I can use? Thanks Michael |

If there is a leak, putting more freon in it is depleting our ozone!!!
Stop the madness and repair it correctly! How? I don't know, maybe someone else will chime in Just stop choking Mother Earth! ![]() |

Ac leak fix products have never worked for me. So I would try to determine the leak and go from there.

i have another vote for the leak stop crap not working. in my case it made the air warmer and it still leaked the same rate. if i had to guess i'd say it plugged up the oriface tube. it's basically i fine mesh screened cone in a line.
one more thing to check though.....check the hose that runs down from up top by the engine mount. it's alumium up top and is crimped to a rubber section as it goes down. mine chafed through there. right in the middle of the rubber. they rub on each other and also on the engine. i fixed it for $6 in parts and i've been chillin' ever since (: |

Hello
The air con has been fixed with a new pipe. A leak test was performed and the green dye emerged from one of the harder to get to pipes! New pipe obtained and fitted. There was some confusion because the pipe had a second high pressure filling valve. This is a strange feature of PTs! As temperatures reached nearly 30 degrees C on Friday I was lovely and cold inside ![]() ![]() Best regards Michael |

Thank you for saving a little of the ozone and your answer to the fix.
CHILL on!
