Question Power steering part -USA 2 UK

Hi my gf has just got a 01 PT cruiser but needs a new power steering pump as the thread as been damaged so the sensor don't fit in it anymore
And it seems I can order one from America . New for half the price of getting a 2nd hand one in UK but was wondering would the part fit and be ok as I'm thinking as they are left hand drive I didn't know it parts are revered if that makes sense

Thanks for any help
Stuart

One of my friends has just told me that's the sensor is connected/screwd into the power steering rack , and not the pump
So it's the power steering rack I need
