The Puddle O'Meter is off the scale today so I'll have a look tomorrow ..
It seems more difficult to select a gear when warm, would that make sense ?

I am not so sure if I am answering for the correct part, but if you refer to the rubber bushings that lock on the lever over the transmission box, at the end of the 2 cables, then maybe I have a solution to that.
Just replaced mine with a piece of plastic cut on a lathe to take the right shape. Over the big plastic ring that surrounds it, I put a washer to keep all in place. Made a small hole on the pin and used a safety lock to keep the washer in place I can post a picture tomorrow if you want. |

Hi,
Yes it's the bush on the end of the gear lever cable above the gearbox, i replace with a plastic upgrade from the States and although it's a little better i wouldnt say it's perfect as it's still hard to get into some gears. The car has only done 80,000 and the biting point of the clutch is still very low so a failing clutch can be ruled out, My next job is to check the gearbox oil but i just havent had the time yet ... Appreciate the reply thank you.
