Default loose cable where to connect?

Hi!
I've just changed the sparkplugs and noticed I have a loose cable.
Can anyone show me where i need to connect this cable (flat eart cable)?
Took this photo from another member to show you the cable.
Mine is still connected to the chasis but the other side isn't connected anymore.
Engine is a 2006 1.6
Many thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum.

The engine you have isn't available in the U.S. You didn't fill out your profile so I'm guessing it's the diesel engine which is only made overseas. I've moved your post over to the European side of the forum so you have a better chance of getting an answer.

Your picture doesn't show the loose end of that cable so I can't tell if it's near the left fender or the engine. The only small cable like that in the U.S. 2.4 Ltr engine goes to the cruise control which wold be in the upper left hand corner of the engine bay. Do you have cruise control? You might want to look around there to see if the hose would fit onto it.

Also, thinking more about it, our Turbo engines here in the U.S. have three servo's that might have a small vacuum line attached to one of them. Is yours a Turbo?

OK, that's not a cable, it's a ground wire and it's already attached to the grounding point. OK, I have the same grounding wire on my car and it goes to the back of the engine. You can't actually see where it attaches on mine so just pick a place on your engine itself and attach it any way you can.

I took a pic from my 2006, it goes to the head just above the exhaust manifold.

Here on the 2.4, that strap would go to the block or valve-cover if metal.

Lion, Busted, your both right. I changed my post to say the same thing. It's a ground wire for the engine block itself.

Lion, great picture. Don't know how you got back there to take that pic?
