Default Top Hose cooling

The cooling fan can play silly buggers now and again, so going to fit a rad switch connected through a relay to the yellow wire on fan. Any one know the internal diameter of the top hose?, fitting in line alloy (on UK ebay) tube with switch. 2002 2Lt petrol cruiser. Thanks in advance

Here at the Stars and Stripes the radiator fans last about 100,000 miles and the brushes are worn out and replacement is best. I'm not sure if the UK fans are the same.

As the brushes are about to fail the cooling fan will work sometimes before complete failure. Our fans have a low speed for cooling and high speed for cooling/AC condensing for the air conditioner.

Thanks for that, but I cleaned up the relay contacts on the original and it worked again. I just want to fit the switch as a fail safe
