Default Clutch and Brake fluid

I've got a problem with the clutch on my 2.2 Diesel 2006 Cruiser.

Intermittently it sticks... unable to change gear or it stalls (like there is no clutch at all, if that makes sense)
Also, I am losing Brake fluid... I haven't checked for any obvious leaks as yet but I was wondering if the two faults are connected?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Well, both the clutch master cylinder and brake master cylinder take brake fluid. Are you sure they're BOTH losing fluid and you're not just looking at one or the other and thinking it's for both? I don't know, just asking. There's also a clutch slave cylinder that COULD be leaking. That's usually the source on the clutch problems with fluid loss and not the master.

How rapidly are you using brake fluid? It is normal for fluid level to go down as pads wear, that is not a "loss". New pads will bring level up again.
