I tried the suggestion to use chrome door edge guard around the edge of the Alteeza tail lights, I like the look, the ones I found weren't long enough for one piece to go all the way around though, left me with 2 seams to cover. If I find it in a roll, I may redo them. Here's before-with the black trim, and after-with the chrome.

Found some different door edging at Meijer today, Trimbrite brand "Super Length Deluxe" 10'X 3/8" chrome door trim for trucks" that I'm going to try today.
The edging I had wasnt' long enough to go all the way 'round, so I had 2 joints to cover. Looks like the same stuff, maybe slightly wider. If you can't find it anywhere locally, I found it here for the same price, $5.99, but you'll have to pay shipping of course: http://www.autobarn.net/trit5400-series.html |
