Hello all, Speeking of APC...if you buy one of their roll pans...you best be a very talented body man. I bought one and could not believe how bad it look, I worked for hours apon hours blocking and priming and blocking again...the glass work just was not finished well at all, I've bought from Stulls before (they don't make a roll pan for PT) and the glass work on their parts is great...guess APC just needs more time with some of those parts but for what it cost, I was not very happy with it....Later all

Just a side comment on LED taillights...
I had ordered a set these (for OEM housing) this past summer and returned them. The main issue was the viewable angle of the LED light. When viewed head-on, they are cherry red and quite bright. At other angles, faint/inconsistent... not a round glow like the stocker. This is because the 3157 has 15 LEDs on a flat waffer that only shine outward; not back on the reflector. |

I ordered a set of these and returned them for two reasons
1. They did not fit snugly in the hole and would move from side to side by about 1/2 an inch at the top 2. The black beading/glue/line around the edge was ragged and wonky and in one place there was a piece of the glue (or whatever it is) that had come adrift and was in the middle of the reflective lens. I'll wait until someone does them with a little more attention to quality - I expect something at least as good as the OEM units. Can someone explain a little more to me about the LED set up. I've just been to my local electronic store and they showed me some LED's but they were very smalll and he said I would have to run a series of them? I'm no electrical wizz.
I looked at the ones at PT Warehouse but the have no picture. Anyone got a picture of them. Do you replace the standard globe sockets? |

Here you go Craig:
http://www.jamstrait.com/products.html These bulbs fit tightly. I see they've revamped their site and have a lot more choices! The PT's bulbs are 3157. If you go with these, you'll need a variable load flasher so your blinkers don't speed up. Also, keep in mind the narrow viewing angle as per my prior post. The owner Bruce is a great guy to deal with and I would recommend doing business with him. |
