Default Gas Cap Hanger. Cheap Trick!

I kind of looked and didn't see this one on here yet, but maybe this is old news:

Looks like a good, cost efficient mod.

I would add this suggestion: a drop of Loctite Blue on the threads before instaling the screw would help prevent it from loosening due to vibration, and still leave it servicable.

Made my own for 25 cents. A little metal hook in a balck suction cup glued onto the door. Picute below was before I cleaned it up a bit buy trimming the extra glue that I used on the suction cup. This is on an aftermarket polished fuel door but it works just as well on an OEM door.

Any ideas for those of us using the D/C locking gas-cap without the tether?

Yes, have a little more faith in your fellow man and use the regular cap with tether ...[)]

not really, don't turn your back on them for a second.
Is there any way to attach some kind of tether to the cap? Like a small screw into the top by the lock?

A tether hook is one thing Chrysler actually added since the 2001 models.
