I am thinking of having the dealer install Purple/Blue Factory flame kit on my White GT. This isn't a factory option for the white PT, but thought it would be neat. Has anyone tried it, and if so, how about some pics??

I think the Purple/Blue factory decal flame kit would look very good on your white car as IMHO it looks great on black. It would be "neat" as you probably would have the only PT in your state with this color combination. As is true with most decals (especially the larger ones) the installation/application is the "key" to the final results. I would recommend you find a auto/body speciality shop or person (rather than a DC dealer) as it frequently takes that "certain touch to get it right" when applying large decals. From those I have seen the flame decals from DC for the PTC are of high-quality and, when applied at the factory, appear to turn out quite well. You might want to talk to your DC dealer to see if he has the expertise to do a professional installation and what warranty he will give you. Good luck.

Here is another option that you might want to consider. If you are not set on putting "factory flames" on your PTC then you might want to consider decal flames made by an after-market speciality company and have a local shop do the installation if you do not want to attempt the job yourself.
The window decals on my GT were purchased from the two companies listed below. From what I have read on forums other people who have purchased decals from them have been pleased with their products. EDECALS.COM: http://www.edecals.com STREAMLINE DESIGN: http://www.streamlinedesign.com/ IMHO the decals are of excellent quality, however, only time will tell how they will hold up for the long-term. If you keep your car in a garage or under a carport decal flames will last longer before you may experience problems. Again, I believe proper installation is the key to success. Just my two cents. Good luck. |

Hello all!
New to these boards, but had to reply to this topic. I had the Chrysler purple flames put on my white Cruiser, (by a body guy) and it looks SWEET! I get a LOT of compliments on it. I don't think I have any digital pics, but I will take some and if anyone's interested I will post/send. Next I'm thinkin' of those chrome bumper skins...[8D] |

Thank you, Gary!
Happy to be here...[^] Seems like a great bunch of people (but then we're all PT owners, so that goes without saying ) |
