replacing spears

I am going to put chrome spears on the sides and is there an easy way of taking the painted ones off. The double sided tape can be a real pain to remove, and I'm looking for ideas on the best way to remove them. [:I]

If it is just tape try using a thin fishing line between the spears and the car. Work it gently between the two.

I did not. I purchased the type that go over the spears and they look great....

i think the ones that go over the orignal spears would be the best

With the adhesive backs, they can be removed if necessary. They fasten with 3M tape, a hair dryer will warm them enough to remove.
