I saw in a pic along time ago of a Gull Winged cruiser that was a handicapped vehicle with the rear doors that Gull Winged and I was curious if it possible to get one as an install kit or are they made as ordered? That and I just wanted to know how cool you all thought it might be to have one that way with a the front doors Lambo style. Or would that be too much overkill?

You can have them made, here's a link. Maybe they have a kit.[:I] It wold hinder your ability to park anywhere where there's other cars around.

like crewzin said your would need larger parking spots thats for sure and also hope people dont park to close or you will be climbing in the tail gate !!

The Cruisers you're talking about usually have only one rear door that is a gullwing. Most of the interior is gutted so that someone can rool their wheel chair in the door and up to the driver's or passenger's position. I haven't seen any that aren't for handicapped due to the reasons stated by others.

alot of the handicapped spaces I see are a bit larger/wider. I guess for van accessablity [:I]

Yes there was a young fellow in a Chair who had a PT built for him the rear drivers door lifted up, the drivers opened with an opener and a ramp dropped down. I will have a look for the pics on PTE

There are two people out this way (SoCal) that have them, naturally they're good friends with eachother. It takes about a month of time and roughly 18,000 dollars to do this...not exactly chunk change for most of us. One's an electric blue 03 GT and the other is a DC3. There's a lot of work involved in it...they have to raise up the rear suspension because the floorboard has to be dropped 6 inches down, they chop up the rocker panel, do away with the center console, the ebrake is mounted behind the drivers seat (yes, you heard that correctly lol) and all sorts of neat stuff. For what it's worth...I'd go with lambos in the front and suicides in the back...it'd be about one tenth of the cost as well!

I'm diggin the vert on that site...I've seen the regular PTs with the conversion all the time but that convertible looks pretty slick
