Default What to do with those OEM front mud flaps

Looking for some guidance/suggestions on what the PT gurus out there have done with to the OEM front mud flaps (either painting or replacing outright). On my '01, the flaps are an integrated part of the front inner fender liner and would seem to be a PITA to do either. Any suggestions on how to proceed would be much appreciated.

Buy the Xenon aero skirts . They incorporated the flaps. Around $200.00 plus paint and install
