Default The flames were hot this weekend :)

Well I finally got around to painting something of my own for a change and the end result looks good to me 7 different colors, 11 different layers, and almost 30 hours later this is what I came up with:

Nice job! The only suggestion I would make would be to soften the effect more. Usually when you see fire, the flames themselves aren't so distinct, but more 'blended' or 'softened' - not so busy.

A friend of ours just did a bike for a fireman. It doesn't show what I mean quite as much as I would like, but take a look at the flames themselves and how they aren't quite so individually defined. I hope you know what I mean!

You did a great job - keep it up!!!

Found the photo of a PT Mike tru-fired back in 2001. He knew I really wanted a PT, so he sent me the photo. That was back before his flames got so popular. Now he just got done doing a bunch of cases for souped-up Dell computers... lol!

Maybe it will show more what I mean...

Put some water on those flames. They look so real.
