CHICO, Just my 2 cents worth. I used EIBACH springs. I'm pleased with the looks and ride. The only minor problem is with my new 3 inch exhaust system. When i have a load in the back seats (2 extra people) the pipe hits the rear axle over medium and heavy bumps. No problem if it's just me and the wife up front.

I also used the Eibach progressive springs. It lowered the car two inches in the rear and one and three quarter inchs in the front. It looks great, handles VERY well, and still gives a factory-like ride. I especially like how it has a much more subtle rake, instead of the back being so much higher with the stock springs. It still has acceptable ground clearance, too..even driving in the snow. Just watch out for parking lot curbs! Eibach really has lowering springs dialed in.

I've had Eibachs for 6 months now without a hitch (stock exhaust). The only second thought that crossed my mind was going lower. See http://www.ptcruiserparts.com/Suspension/Lowering_kits/ for options. I'd like to drop the rear some more to remove the rake thereby balancing wheelwell fill. Eibach goes 2" but my opinion says 2.5" is the perfect sit.

I have the Progress springs which are lower in price than the Eibachs. The ride is great, no problems to date.

Of course I haven't driven with the Eibachs so I can't compare the two.

I tried the Progress - tooo slammmed and the ride was a bitch. Replaced them with H&R from TireRack - GREAT!
