Don't have a close-up picture of mine, but they are made by Blane. Probably the best ones out there. I bought the black set (because I was one of the first ones to buy them and all there was available was black) and then covered the piston ends with chrome tape. You can't tell the difference. Here's mine (not close up and then I gave you the link to Blanes struts and he has pictures that I think your looking for.

Here's the link ....

I have to 2nd Crewzin on the Blane struts. I took them off of my 2002 when I traded it in and I put them on my 2007. Have not had a bit of trouble with them.

Looks pretty good, did you have to make any special brackets for the hood for them to mount to? Couldn't quite make that part out.

Blane's Struts come with well-engineered custom mounting brackets, all hardware, and easy instructions.

No drilling, installs in a few minutes with common hand tools.

I've had mine for years now... No Problems, they work perfectly.

If you buy the kit from Blane, all the parts come with it and there's no holes to drill. The kit uses all exsisting holes and bolts that are already on the car. If anything is needed, it's supplied. Each side takes about 5 minutes for installation.

Thumbs up Re: Hood Struts

I know it's been a couple of months since this post was active but the Blane's Hood Strut site is not working today. Maybe a temp thing or not, I just wanted to get an idea of how much the kit was, THANKS!

Your right I have not been able to access Blaine's web site either. I did however find some hood struts on this site. Has anyone used this strut? Is it as good?
