Adding Power Mirrors to Base Model

I have just purchased a new 2007 Base PT and LOVE IT!! Just curious if anyone here had added power mirrors, factory or other wise? I'm curious if the wiring and plugs are there if I get the mirrors and the power adjustment controls.

Also, on an interior addition, has anyone installed the factory cruise kit? From what I've read it comes with everything you need to install it, I'm curious if the computer has to be updated for it to work though?

THANK YOU!! That is what I was wondering. It would almost be idiotic for it not to be there, every other model has electric mirrors except this one so one would think that there would not be a different wiring harness just for the base model

I was wondering the same thing. My gf just backed up and knocked the non-power mirror off th passenger side and I was thinking about getting a whole new full set of power mirrors, but didn't know the level of difficulty to do it. Or if the power connections were even there on the base model.

Anyone have a definite yes on if its possible to do it? How would the power mirrors be controlled, because I didn't see the power mirror controls in the car. Something I would have to order?

I have a base 2008, has anyone made progress with this upgrade. I've seen that heated and folding options are available for earlier years. Would anybody know if all the side view mirrors are interchangeable. Also there are different switches. Thanx's to all.

hi i have a base model 2005 and installed power heated mirrors from a 2002. there was no wiring inside the car so a couple of trips to the salvage yard got me the switches and wiring i needed. i made up the wiring for the heated mirrors. everything works ok now. i also installed the cruise control kit. everything was basically plug in to wiring in the car. this was very easy following the directions. jim hoysa
