I am really interested to see this pulled off. I actually have the same taillights you do, and was curious how possible this was. How would you securly attach the attach lenses? This could be neat.
take care, nathan |

This is what I did with my stock tails. This is not a very good angle so it doesn't do it justice. I usually don't get any "thumbs ups" from anyone on any forums because the photos don't really convey how they look in person. But people who do see them "up close and personal" love the look.....

When I bought them, they came with the chrome trim and a cheezy metal bulb holder at the back. After examining the stock tails, I discovered that the recess that the stock bulbs fit into is exactly the size of the rocket tails. If you use the stock bulb holder to center the lens, you can slowly cut the front with a hole saw directly in line with the recess. You need a drill press, no hand tools.
I discarded the cheezy bulb holder and simply used some "Goop" glue to hold the rocket lens and chrome trim and seal it at the same time. This way the stock reflector and bulb socket are retained and work normally. Here's another shot..... ![]() |

Nice, a good "fix".
