hi all - it's been a while - hope all is well.
i'm going to start a new tail light project. it will involve ruining (opps i mean modifying) my current custom tail lights. i'm gonna measure twice and cut once - before using a holesaw. my plan is to insert these '59 cadillac lenses (see attached pic). question: assuming i can holesaw the existing lenses without destroying them, should i use silicone or a clear epoxy to bond them?

Don't do it. The tailights look better the way they are now.

I gotta agree with BigSlim. I think they look better now.

thanks to all who replied.
when the lenses arrive, i'll do a mock up of sorts first with some double-sided tape (then mull over it a bit), before i start cutting away. i am not using the normal "'59" chrome bezels (as shown on the white pt convertible above). i plan on retaining the flat silver bezels (rings) that are on there now. maybe i can get them to recess inward like "pt chics" - that recessed look is too cool for school.

pt chix - a close up pic of your tail lights would be very much appreciated. i zoomed in on your posted pic, but it got too fuzzy. it sort of looks like the tail lights are skewed inward --- very nice.
for those who said, don't do it --- i have not pulled the trigger (of the drill w/hole saw) yet. i really want to see if i can achive pt chix's frenched look.
