Hi all new to the forum, I think all the info I've been reading is awesome. Anyways, has anyone installed this antenna and what do they think of the reception they get



It's from tennatoys, would appreciate feedback on it thanks

If this is the standard 'Shorty' unit, I don't have one, but I hear the reception is not as good, for obvious reasons.

I used a different "shorty" antenna that I bought for like $15. You can definitely tell the difference, as the reception wasn't nearly as good.

I know that some had said that they've cut the original long antenna, and just capped it where they cut it. Don't know how that reception would be, though...

Hi there Rice Killing GT (love your screen name!). I've had this antenna on my Cruiser for about 9 months now. I got it on ebay for around $12 so it was a pretty good buy. It's 'brushed stainless steel' and I haven't seen any others on PT Cruisers at meets I've attended. Quite honestly the only problem I have noticed with reception is with the lower powered local stations. The high powered stations in DC come in with the same reception as I had with OEM antenna, but I intend to get satellite radio installed soon so I won't care!

Anyway I think it looks pretty good and is fairly unusual.

Unless you travel a *LOT*, save your money. My Series II Dream Cruiser came with SIRIUS radio and a 1 year subscription, but if I had to pay for it, I wouldn't.By the time you flip between 160 channels, you're at your destination.

Plus, for you NASCAR fans, SIRIUS does not broadcast any NASCAR races on any of it's channels at this time. I *think* XM may as they have a NASCAR channel.
