Help on Installing LED Mirrors on My 06 Cruiser

What is wierd about it was we had record highs at 75 on saturday and then yesterday it didn't get above 34.
I think if you can't find the wire on the passenger side, you can always look at the harness that comes out of the steering column. Especially if you are using that switch I was talking about, it would be easier to tap into the wires there.

Ok, it was a little warmer, so I went wire hunting, and found that in the 2007 the passenger side wires come out from under the seat rather than from the dash. Here's a pic:



So, here's where the passenger turn signal wire should be. I haven't gotten to checking if the wire listed in muth's guide is here or not, but it should be.

I should have looked futher back. If I would have removed that other pannel I would have found them. I'll go and take a look after my alomost wifey gets back... Thanks alot for the information....Props for you ...

According to the 04 service manual (my mom has an 03, and I haven't checked to see if the wire colors are the same yet)

These are the wire colors to the motors for each side:

Left Mirror motors: (wire color/stripe) - Function
Yellow/Pink - Positve 12V? not sure
Dark Blue/White - Left/Right motor
Brown/Yellow - Up/Down motor
Light Blue/Yellow - Ground? not sure

Right Mirror motors:
Light Blue/Yellow - Ground? not sure
Yellow/Black - Up/Down motor
Dark Blue/White - Left/Right motor
Yellow/Pink - Positive 12V? not sure

Does the instruction manual say which wire in the 4 does what?

White
Blue
Red
Yellow

If it doesn't state the function of each wire, there's 24 possible combinations on each side expressed as 4! (4*3*2*1)

My mirrors actually got shipped out today, so I'll get them sometime next week (scheduled delivery on the 10th.)
So, as soon as I get mine, I'll post pics of the install too.

For my future reference, according to the 04 service manual, the high beam wire is red/orange, located at the steering column. I think I might wire the Blue and amber as I've shown above. For me though, I'll only use blue to "show off" so I won't wire them initially.

The ones I have didnt come with instruction manual...... So right now im searching to see the proper hook up... Yeah i should have asked before i bought....

I just got my mirrors today, and the motor wires are black, brown, blue and white. And the LED wires are black, white, blue, and yellow.

Here's the function and wire combo:

Mirror motor:

Up - Blue +
Down - Blue -
Left - White +
Right - White -

It doesn't seem to matter if brown or black are hooked up to the above diagram.

Also, the blue and the amber LED's won't illuminate at the same time, amber has precedence, but white can illuminate all the time.

I pulled the OEM mirror off, and it has three wires going to a harness:
Blue, yellow and pink (didn't see if it had stripes) I didn't take it all the way since I only had a few minutes to look at it.
As soon as I have more time to run some testing, I'll post my results here.

So you got the ones with the 3 shades of color, White, Blue, Amber....I have mine on just havent had a chance to wire them..damn crappy weather... have a long day ahead though, mirror install, speakers, stereo... oh i was going to put pics of the wire colors ,on my mirror, but my camera seem'd to have grown legs .... hope you have a better time than i have had...

I think it will go pretty well, the hardest part wil be feeding the wire through the door jamb. I'm going to pull the mirror off and test what wire does what. There's 3, so one is probably a common point, and the other two are motor up/down, and motor left/right.

I already got the stereo and subs installed, but I'm going to make a custom box that fit's into the lower cargo shelf rails, and it will sit flush with the back seats folded down. This way, I can get bump, and still move stuff.
