I was thinking that i could run a few quick tests to see what each combo of two wires does.
Basically, I'd take the OEM mirror off, and hook up each wire to a DC battery (I use a r/c car battery...) and see what happens. The fact that the hardest part will be running the wire means that it should be a pretty easy install, but I don't have a lot of free time, so it has to wait till my next day off, which I think is sunday.

Had my door pannel off yesterday and looked at the problem. Think I will try to test and hook up the LED mirror under the steering wheel and hook into the 4 way flasher area but using the left and right turn signal wires. I think all the 4 way flasher does is use all of the wires. You can test the LEDs and see the colors by holding the wires on your battery, there is 1 ground wire and 1 wire each for each of the 3 colors. Looks easy, just need to do it.

I will have some good time to work on this on sunday, as long as the weather isn't horrible. I think it will be easy for me took hook this all up, so I will try and take some good pics as I go and post a tutorial on how to do it.

OK BOY was that fun. Got the drivers side LED mirror installed and working. Man what a job, but I know how to do it now. Started at 9AM this morning and finished at 6 PM. Had to go to the store and buy more 10Amp fuses (used 6 so far trying to get the power mirror to work and gave up for a while) (you can move the mirror glass by hand though). And no beer at all. SO I wired all three colored LED wires togeter and just ran one wire through the door to a spot under the drivers door sill. The really hard part was getting the new wire through the rubber thing between the door and the car. Ended up using a 1 foot long piece of copper romex wire and pulled the hookup wire through. That was a reall pain in the ass. I needed a ground for the black wire so I used one of the bolts that holds the new mirror on (scraped the paint off first).
Anyway the (mirror) works. I am not sure if I like the mirror because it is quite a bit smaller than the OEM ones and it makes thing look smaller, but I will try it for a while and see how I like it. The new mirror looks real sharp on the car though and is nice and shiny black. My car is a factory two tone 04 GT black over red so the shiny black look just right. Directions from the seller (any directions, even just a couple of words) sure would have helped. Really. And why didn't they make the unit a bit bigger? Couldn't have cost much more. And why doesn't Chrysler put these kind of mirrors on the upscale PTs? Most of us would even be willing to pay for them.

O Man, a long day. Just twisted all three colored wires together and taped they tight, well soder them later, maybe. At one time I had white and blue lights but the next time I looked they were white and amber. Maybe the blue does not show up when they are all wired together. Maybe when I solder it will be better. Did the work in my garage at my house in Tacoma Washington but I really live in Portland Oregon and all my soldering stuff is down there.
SO do you like the look of the mirrors?

Monkeyracer gave me an idea the other day... I was going to leave them black, he said he was going to get them painted... I want to also but not right now....I am going to tie the wires in now that i have located the wire(s) on both the drivers side kickers pannel and pass side kick pannel.. I like the look.. if you go back in this thread you will see the ones I bought. I agree with you on that this has alot of parts for... Didnt know myself. Well I'll post the results hopefully with some pics....
