On the passenger side, the '06-'08 signal wire is the white wire with the yellow stripe. I'm still trying to figure out the motor wires. I got left and right to work, but up and down are reversed... I haven't had a chance to open up the drivers side. I've got some errands I have to run, so I have to pick this back up later.

Finding the left or right turn sig. wire is easy because you can pull the tail light and look. My trouble was the power mirrors stuff. Never did get the right wires figured out and ran out of fuses (next time I will buy 2 boxes of fuses) (a person can't let little things like this stump you). My Haynes manual does not show the wireing dig. for the power mirrors, but then again, maybe that would not help either because we don't know if the Chinese wired them right anyway. Instruction sure would have helped.
And then the seller had the guts to right up a real nice report from me befor he even shipped the mirrors. Rinky Dink, that is what car salesmen try to do sometimes. Get thier browney points before they screw you over. O Well

I thought the PT was made in Mexico... so the blanco con anaranjado is the passenger side wire.

I'm really not falling in love with these. I got the passenger side installed, but they are not big enough, and at full left it's still not aimed correctly. The lights are cool, but they are a little weak. I think I might dismantle these and put the light pods in the OEM mirrors. Either that, or I'll just buy the chrome mirror caps, and install lights into those. I don't know, because I still want the forward facing signals.

The style is cool for sure, but I'd rather have function over form right now.
If the angle was better and the mirror was bigger, and the lights were brighter, then they would be great, but that's what you get for $36 I guess.

To find the wire, I checked what wires went to the tail light, and tested each for voltage that allternates with the signal, then went to the wire channel running along the sills and tapped into the wire there.

To get the wire through the door, I pushed the grommet out of the sheet metal and made it straight, and pulled the wires through using a wire coat hanger, then pushed the grommets back on.

You are right. The new mirrors are small. If the one you have on does not turn enough you can turn it by hand, or have you tried that? Are your powered? If they are powered do they work that way? That has been my problem with blowing fuses.
I also thought of just taking the new LED ones apart and installing the LEDs in my old original units. Should not be too hard because they just used silicone to hold the LEDs in anyway. Will try to get happy with the drivers side one that is installed a couple more days and then see what to do

I have the powered ones from genkituning (see post from a little back) and the passenger side is just angled wrong. At the limit of the mirror motor's adjustibility it is still not enough. I'm going to investigate installing the light pod in the bigger OEMs.

OK here is what my drivers side mirror looks like. And you are right, the LEDs are not very bright (OK for night but dull for daytime). tn_Picture16-08 057.jpg

I uninstalled these and put my OEM's on. It's just not my style. I am selling the set I have for the same price I paid. (Since they're not used.)
I paid $35.98 so I'm willing to send them out for $35 including shipping. (they are the exact same ones that {white} has. Let me know if someone wants to buy them, let me know.

Maybe someone can use these to take the LED's out and install them in the OEM mirrors.

I originally had this about a year ago. A mail box helped me uninstalled them (vehicle abruptly pulled out across street, sending me into the mailbox).

I never hooked up my Ambers.

The switch idea is a good idea. Because were I'm from, the cops don't like blue LED's, so I have to be careful. Help idiot drivers know when you are switching lanes.

Yes a much needed addition to future cruisers.
