Honestly, if you remove the hubcaps and just keep the steelies clean as well as the tires, they won't look bad at all (IMHO)!

I've seen on Pt Cruiser World someone put beauty rings on the steelies and that too came out pretty nice!

only problem with that for me is the salt in the winter. it gets really nasty around here and it would be hard to keep them clean in the winter.

I've got chromed ABS rings on mine, with the steelies painted charcoal metallic for now; they look pretty good! I recommend the ABS over steel rings because the steel rings I started with rusted VERY quickly; no such problem with plastic .

It's just too bad no one makes a spider or a small chrome cap to fit the PT steelies .

Car Event 50#

One of the best PT experiences Ive ever had too!

1. We all meet at 12PM
2. Moved to the waiting area at 4PM
3. Moved to another waiting area awaiting entrance to the track at 6PM
4/5. Drove the track twice at 7PM
6. Parked our cars again at about 7:30PM

This was a really fun event to go to! It may have taken all day to participate but it was well worth it

If your meaning replacing the whole headlight or taillight, the tails would be easy (one bolt), the headlights a lot harder becuase of the shape.

If you really want all black, look around for the earlier model black front grill. It the same shape but yo won't have the chrome bars running across the front.
Or find someone with an upgraded model (limited, etc.) in black, who didn't get the chrome trimmed front grille that the base model has, and see if they want to trade. I've talked to several newer PT owners who were upset they didn't get the chrome grille.

Edit: Okay, sorry. Posted before I realised it was a long time ago started thread. Probably isn't relelvant, but who knows!
