The LED's I used were different than pictured. They had the bayonet end than pushed and then turned into place. No equalizer was needed and the flasher wasn't changed. Most of the light was pointed directly back with little or no side firing but the way the Rocket taillights are designed, the flash of the LED's lit up the whole light and there's more like 20 tiny LED's than 13. The inside of the lights are smooth. Looking directly at the back of the car, when the LED's lit up with the brake pedal, to my eyes they gave off more light than the 3157's and that's what I was after to stop being hit from the rear.
