He has a kit with a whole new bottom end for $750. Then you can run high boost without having to worry about knock or blowing apart the bottom end.

Yeah, it's probably a good Idea to get a new bottom end. My eventual goal is 300-325 HP and That would be running 10-12 lbs of boost with all forged internals, cams, and a laundry list of other goodies. I have had someone tell me they were running 450 HP on their stock internals with A ridiculous turbo setup and Nitrous. Either they are lying, or they are about to have a VERY messed up engine!

How about 599whp @ 667tq at 35 lb of boost??? Check out what these guys did to a poor little PT on youtube. I installed a Whipple three years ago and now have 75K miles without any issues. Then again, I don't drive it like a maniac but it does come in handy on the freeway on ramps. If all of the claims add up, its probably in the 245 to 255 range. The last time I checked, Whipple was asking around $4K.

Here's the link to the dyno PT on Youtube. Enjoy...

The guy with that 599hp PT tried to tell my brother that it was faster than his Mustang! The 'stang has a 408 stroker making around 600hp naturally aspirated and heres the best part, its running low compression because he built the motor with thoughts of supercharging it in the future! Add all that up with the fact that the PT is front drive compared to rear drive on the Mustang giving the 'stang a big advantage in traction (not to mention the fact that its running drag radials too!) and I think the guy put his foot in his mouth.

you know given the shape of the PTs hood, this scoop might not look bad in rear facing arrangement.
